| Goostrey Footpaths Group |
Goostrey Footpaths Group is an informal group of volunteers who work in
co-operation with Goostrey Parish Council and Cheshire County Council Public Rights of Way Unit to
maintain and improve rural footpaths around the village, making them more enjoyable
and accessible to all, and to encourage the use of these footpaths. Some examples of the Group's work are the smart oak finger-posts around the village and the Millennium Project to improve the path from MIll Lane to Swanwick Hall Farm. The Group has produced a composite aerial map of the footpaths around Goostrey, and a handy 'street map' of the village. The Group principal publication, 'More Goostrey Walks and Strolls', has sold 2000 copies and is now in its second edition, in full colour. |
